To start with, it is so great to see you moving ahead after the past 2 tumultuous years of Covid, and then the massive rains over the past month.

Whilst there are still more issues to come from Covid and many people are restoring their lives after severe flooding damage, we always need to look forward to our future, whilst using our past as our learnings and using today, to take action on what we want to achieve in our future.

With the massive impact of Covid taking its toll, we decided in August last year, to take a break from promoting our business and focus on the clients we were working with and our own circumstances.

Moving Forward

In recent months, we have taken some time to evaluate what we will do going forward, and have transformed our business from solely being a direct supplier of personal and business skills development, to being a gateway connector to high quality personal and business skills development programs, from several of the worlds best known coaches and trainers.

Our aim, is to provide you with the highest quality, genuine results gaining information and education programs available today.

Going forward, our website and blog will be providing you with quality articles and videos on developing your personal and business skills, aimed at helping you to create the success you are looking for.

We constantly learn that to be highly productive, you need to set clear goals and have a plan of action on how to achieve those goals. You then need to plan your week and your day, with a clearly defined and prioritised to do list.

Whilst this process is absolutely vital to being highly productive, the biggest problem is, actually getting the things on your list done, and more importantly, how do I get the important things done first?

One of the biggest problems is, putting things off to later. (Procrastination) We have several excuses for procrastinating, we don’t like doing it, it’s going to take too long, it’s difficult, it’s a difficult conversation, etc, etc.

Another reason people put things off, is when they say to themselves, if I start now, I will just get interrupted by everyone and it won’t get finished, so I will do it later.

Interruptions and distractions can be a big destroyer of your days plans.

Have You Attended An Event & Not Done Anything With What You Learned?

We go to events and generally learn many new things and take down plenty of notes on what we can implement in our business. Then our aim is to implement what we learned over the next couple of months, however, the event binder and materials either sit on your desk, or in your bookcase, getting covered in dust, because you just can’t get the time free to work on it. You keep saying to yourself, I’m going to start working on that next week, but it never happens. In the mean time, you attend more events, with the same cycle repeating itself.

When we learn new things that we want to implement, we have to take into account, that we already have a busy day, and if we want to add activities to our day, we need to plan how we will fit them in.

The best way to ensure that you implement what you learn at events, is, when you book to attend the event, also book out the day following the event to take the time to review your notes and material, and create your action plan for what you will implement.

Once this action plan is prepared, you then plan the activities of the plan into your weeks and days, taking into account what you are already doing. This will enable you to ensure you can implement your new plans.

With my clients, I have found that implementing this type of planning process can be a bit daunting at first, as we always believe that after taking time out to attend an event, we can’t take the extra time to carry out this planning process. However, what they found was, that by doing it, they were able to impact their business significantly just through this simple planning process.

The biggest problem is, people think they don’t have time to stop and plan things, they just need to get on with it. The reality is, the people who do stop and plan, are always way ahead of you, and you don’t even notice it, because your too busy doing things..

Do You Use Your Time Effectively When Marketing?

Marketing? I am flat out doing everything else, I can’t find the time to do my marketing.

When you start your business, there is generally plenty of time to do your marketing, and then as the business grows, you get busy doing everything else and find yourself saying, I can do that tomorrow, but when tomorrow arrives, it still doesn’t happen.

It doesn’t matter whether you are a business owner, childcare centre owner, director or manager, you will have some level of responsibility to market your business or centre. 

Irrespective of whether your business is new or established, how much time do you lose when doing your marketing?

I ask this question, as I see a lot of business owners wasting a lot of time and money on marketing, because, they simply don’t understand marketing well enough to use their time effectively.

Should you be doing your own marketing or outsourcing it?

Either way, if you don’t understand the true fundamentals of marketing, how will you know if you are doing it right? How will you know if the person you are talking to about doing your marketing can do it right?

If I ask someone how they are doing their marketing, they will talk about social media posts and advertising, sending out emails, having conversations on LinkedIn, TV, Radio advertising etc, etc. There is no mention of who they are marketing too, what their messaging is all about, how they help solve their target markets problems or wants, or their marketing strategy.

LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TV, Radio, Article publishing, emails, are all conduits, they are your tools for getting your message out there. But what is your message? And exactly who are you trying to get your message to?

Knowing the fundamentals of marketing and knowing how you need to have your conduits interconnected in todays digital marketing environment are critical to the amount of time you spend on your marketing, and its success.

When you understand the fundamentals, and the interconnection of the conduits, your can then decide on whether you will do your marketing yourself, or outsource it.

If you decide to do your own marketing, knowing the fundamentals and how to use the conduits, will enable you to be more successful in your endeavours, whilst saving a lot of time.

If you decide to outsource your marketing, knowing the fundamentals of marketing and how to use the conduits, will enable you to weed through those marketers, helping you to find a marketer that really does have the full skills required to market your business.
